Returns & warranty
100 days to change your mind.
Buying furniture you have not sat on is a leap. This page is the part that should make it a smaller one — written to be read before you order, not argued about afterwards.
Changed your mind
You have 100 days from delivery to tell us a piece is not right. We collect it ourselves — we will not ask you to repack a sofa or wait in for a courier.
The piece has to come back in the condition it arrived in:
- Unused, unmarked and unstained
- Structurally untouched — not modified, drilled or cut
- In its original packaging, intact
Your refund covers what you paid for the goods. Delivery, assembly, staircase and disposal charges already paid are not refunded, because that work was already done.
What we cannot take back
This list is short but it is real, and it is the same list our competitors use. We would rather you read it now than find it later.
- Made-to-order pieces built to your specification
- Fitted pieces assembled into place — modular wardrobes and built-in bedroom sets
- Mattresses, once unwrapped, for hygiene reasons
- Clearance and ex-display pieces sold as-is
- Anything damaged after delivery
Damaged or faulty on arrival
Tell us within 48 hours and send a photograph. We repair it or replace it at our cost, and we arrange the collection. Our crew photographs every delivery on completion, so there is rarely any argument about what condition a piece was in when it left us.
Warranty
1 year manufacturer warranty from the delivery date, on every piece.
It covers manufacturing defects: faulty materials, poor workmanship, and components missing on arrival. If we cannot repair a piece, you can take a replacement of equal value or a refund.
We would rather promise one year and mean it than advertise five and argue about year four. If something structural fails after the warranty ends, tell us anyway — we would still rather look at it than lose you.
What warranty does not cover
- Normal wear. Fabric and leather fade and crease; foam softens and takes the shape of whoever sits in it. That is the material behaving correctly.
- Cuts, scratches, dents and accident damage
- Misuse, or a lack of basic care and maintenance
- Anything modified or re-assembled by someone other than our crew
- Commercial or heavy-use settings — this is a warranty for a home
One thing that is not a defect
Solid timber moves with humidity, and Singapore has plenty of it. Slight variation in grain, tone and finish between two pieces of the same design is a property of real wood, not a fault. We would rather tell you that here than debate it on your living room floor.
How to start a return or a claim
Message us on WhatsApp at +65 8976 9677 with your order number and a photograph. One message is enough — there is no form to fill in and no ticket number to quote back to us.
If email suits you better, write to hello@makelivinggreat.sg instead. Same person reads both.
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 14 working days of the piece being collected. Your bank may take a further week to show it.
Still deciding?
Ask us anything about a piece before you buy it — the material, the real dimensions, how it holds up. We would rather answer twenty questions than process one return.
